The following paragraphs are very dry and very boring. But I have to update this weblog eventually, m i rite?

Everyone is born with a magnitude and a direction. The magnitude is something with which you are born. It is the inate greatness factor that make some people become amazing and that makes some people waste away. Nobody can change their magnitude; it is fixed. Each person also has a direction--a projected path along which they will travel.

One person will think of a great person, yet another person will see that great person as someone very average. Each person sees greatness along a different dimension. What is forward progress in one person's view is wasted effort in another person's perspective. However, all humans must live for themselves. Each act must be one that helps the self in some way, even if the act is merely a "selfless" act committed for one's own satisfaction. Thus, it is of paramount importance that each person attempt to achieve what they see as greatness.

In recognising these facts, a person should accept that this person's own magnitude is limited. There are those with greater magnitude, and there are those with less magnitude, and there is no way to increase or decrease this value. Given that, a person must always turn to look at where the person wants to go. After taking the time to recognise the person's goal, the person must then realign the person's own direction to match the desired direction.

Why am I posting this on my weblog, and not in a self-help book? I haven't yet found the answer.

Thus, expect to see more posts and articles about programming, computers, and possibly even relationships. In short, expect to see nothing short of a log of my journey of bettering myself.

Since I don't want to have get too in-depth with this first post about this new topic, here are some of the subjects about which you might expect to read:

Programming

C

Java

PHP

Perl

My Compaq notebook

The Chinese language

A relationship

At this point, this is a rather strange, lopsided, awkward list. Expect this to drift slightly as time goes on.

Hm

I wonder if I also need some advertising for this place. My previous weblogs were all relatively short-lived, and I’m hoping that this one should last a little longer. Of course, a stereotype-ridden first entry is a good starting point to show the various groups from which I descend. However, none of those groups are related very closely to blogging, so…this is just rambling at the moment.

The only weblogs I subscribe to all fall into one of two categories. The first of these is the classic “My Blog” weblog. They chronicle the interesting events in the writer’s daily life, and—depending on writer—can be relatively upbeat or bordering on teenage angst. The second type of weblog is the portfolio weblog. These weblogs are written by professionals regarding their profession. They have no blatently raw life stories to share, and only clearly-worded (in the view of the writer) opinions.

Should I pick one of those weblogs to emulate, or should I start my own style? It would be best to decide soon, before this place turns into the Teenage Angst Portal From Hell. Or my autobiography, in angsty terms. Save meeee…

Hello World

Welcome to my frist post.
